Hastelloy is regular nickel molybdenum and chromium alloy. It is sub categorized into different grades depending upon the properties inherited by it. Hastelloy C276 Plate is one such grade that is manufactured by the addition of tungsten in trace amounts. It resists deterioration in a wide range of temperatures. Hastelloy Plate suppliers recommend these pipes due to their resistance to crevice corrosion and pitting. It also offers resistance in the oxidizing medium. Alloy C276 Plate is used in general corrosive services. The low carbon content of ASTM B575 UNS N10276 helps in reducing carbide precipitation during the welding operation.
This maintains the resistance of the Hastelloy C276 Sheet towards corrosion even in welded condition. In the heat affected welded area,ASME SB 575 UNS N10276 material can resist grain boundary precipitation. They are used in applications that involve the use of chemical processes in welded conditions. Hastelloy Alloy C276 Plate not only meets the chemical but also the mechanical requirements of the grade. 2.4819 Plate is capable of high definition plasma, waterjet cutting, shearing, and beveling. It is usually solution heat treated at a temperature of 2050 degrees C. The parts of Nickel Alloy C276 Strips that have been hot formed should be heat treated before final fabrication.

#1 Hastelloy C276 Plate–Hot rolled annealed and descaled. It is available in strip, foil and ribbon. It is used for applications where a smooth decorative finish is not required.
#2D Hastelloy C276 Plate–Dull finish produced by cold rolling, annealing and descaling. Used for deep drawn parts and those parts that need to retain lubricants in the forming process.
#2B Hastelloy C276 Plate–Smooth finish produced by cold rolling, annealing and descaling. A light cold rolling pass is added after anneal with polished rolls giving it a brighter finish than 2D.
