The Incoloy 800H alloy has nickel, iron, and chromium and is a part of the 800 series alloy family. This means that one would get similar characteristics of the 800 alloys in the Incoloy 800H Plate. For example, it has increased resistance to corrosion when exposed to elevated temperatures. The Incoloy 800H Plate also comes with various other mechanical characteristics, like they have excellent resistance to oxidation, carburization, and sulfidation. The added carbon, along with the annealing treatment, also increases the creep rupture strength of the Inconel 800h Plate. It can also be easily welded using products at an elevated temperature environment. At moderate temperature, the SB 409 N08810 material offers good resistance to aqueous corrosion.

#2D Incoloy 800H Plate–Dull finish produced by cold rolling, annealing and descaling. Used for deep drawn parts and those parts that need to retain lubricants in the forming process.
#2B Incoloy 800H Plate–Smooth finish produced by cold rolling, annealing and descaling. A light cold rolling pass is added after anneal with polished rolls giving it a brighter finish than 2D.
